DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of the department within a fast-paced, live production environment, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with overall production goals.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with directors, producers, and technical teams to coordinate strategies that support production requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate team members, providing training and fostering a supportive, collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee inventory, maintenance, and allocation of equipment and resources, ensuring readiness under tight deadlines while driving innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining accurate records of equipment, maintenance, and departmental activities.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, while preparing reports for senior leadership and staying informed on industry developments to improve operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fluent in English, with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a live production, broadcast, or similar technical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant equipment, systems, and techniques, with a solid understanding of applicable safety standards and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team, with experience in performance management and staff development.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and provide clear reporting to senior management.
  • Proactive, innovative, and flexible
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends, to support 24/7 operations.
