Role: Afternoon Nanny

Location: Shoreditch

Start Date: ASAP

Hourly Rate: £21-£22 per hour (based on experience)

Term Time Hours: 20 hours per week

School Holiday Hours: 42 hours per week, averaging 27 hours per week annually

Salary: £29,000£31,000 per year

We are seeking an after-school nanny to care for our two lovely boys, aged 8 and 5.

The family lives in Stoke Newington, and both boys attend school in Shoreditch.

They are looking for a caring and fun nanny to join them long-term. Main responsibilities include collecting the boys from school, taking them to after-school activities, bringing them home, engaging in play, supporting homework, and preparing a simple dinner each evening.

The boys love reading, football, history, and arts. They play well together, listen to instructions, and are polite and respectful. The family hopes to find someone who can set clear boundaries while building a warm relationship to keep the boys happy, healthy, and safe. During the holidays you'll take the boys out to  museums, galleries, theatres, adventure parks, picnics and park afternoons. 

While in the home, light household duties related to the boys, such as laundry and keeping their belongings organised, are required. However, no general housework is expected. The role is child-focused. 

A generous weekly allowance will be provided for general costs and food expenses. A weekly supermarket shop will also cover items for both the boys and nanny's dinners.

Term Time Hours:

Core hours: 4:30 pm 8:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Mondays and Tuesdays start at 3:30 pm due to after-school clubs (swimming and football) in Dalston/Stoke Newington.

Flexible start/finish times on WednesdayFriday can be discussed.

School Holiday Hours (18 weeks per year):

8:00 am 7:00 pm for 3 days a week

3:30 pm 8:00 pm for 2 days a week (flexibility available)

Both parents are lawyers working outside the home. Their previous nanny stayed for three years, and the nanny before that stayed for two years. They value consistency and peace of mind in their home.
