For our progressive and ambitious municipality, we're looking for an interim Team Leader for Physical Living Environment Management who will lead a team of approximately 35 professionals with vision, decisiveness, and people-oriented leadership.
Team Management is one of 11 teams within the Living Environment focus area and consists of four clusters: Sewerage & Water, Roads, Traffic & Public Lighting, Green Spaces, Trees & Playgrounds, and Cables & Pipes. Together, they manage all assets that contribute to a safe, sustainable, and attractive living environment for our residents.
What will you be doing?
As interim team leader, you will provide direction and energy to a rapidly developing team. You will:
stimulate ownership, collaboration, and team spirit within and between clusters;
strengthen connections with other teams in the physical environment and with policymakers;
further shape the initiated development path: the implementation of asset management and task-oriented management, including the establishment of professional clientship for realization and maintenance;
coach employees on personal growth and collaboration;
manage the quality, quantity, and timeliness of processes;
monitor the operating budget and investment budgets (approximately 24 million) with clarity and focus;
serve as a key sparring partner for fellow team leaders and the management team.
Requirements / knockout criteria:
1. Bring your own device applies: this means that the successful candidate must bring a mobile phone with a contract for all business contacts; a laptop will be provided by the client. In other cases, a laptop and phone will be provided by Barneveld;
2. The tenderer meets the stated performance condition as stated above in the tender;
3. A demonstrable completed higher professional education (HBO) bachelor's degree;
4. At least 5 years of demonstrable managerial experience in physical environment management;
5. Demonstrable experience with asset management and change processes (please clearly state this in your resume);
6. At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience within a municipality in the past 7 years;
7. A demonstrable completed university bachelor's degree (25 points);
8. At least 5 years of demonstrable work experience as a team leader or department manager within a municipality (35 points);
9. At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience in asset management within a politically sensitive environment (10 points).
