Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, qualify, and implement welding procedures (WPS) and specifications.
- Provide technical expertise and support for welding processes and equipment in manufacturing.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects and non-conformances.
- Evaluate and select appropriate welding consumables, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to optimize weldability and product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for welding operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and deliver training programs for welders and manufacturing personnel on welding techniques and quality standards.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW) within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, material science, and their application to welding.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Experience with NDT methods and quality control procedures for welded components.
- AWS Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng) certification preferred.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with robotic welding systems and programming.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software for fixture design and analysis.
- Familiarity with NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT) and their application in weld inspection.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Published research or presented at industry conferences on welding-related topics.
