Value Stream Manager | Fremont, MI

Salary Range: $108,000 - $156,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and optimize value stream processes from raw material to customer delivery.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to achieve value stream performance targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement within the value stream.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive corrective actions to ensure target attainment.
  • Manage resource allocation and prioritize improvement initiatives across the value stream.
  • Foster a culture of problem-solving and lean thinking throughout the organization.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience implementing and sustaining Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., VSM, Kaizen, Kanban).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
  • Experience with simulation software or advanced analytics for process optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members in Lean methodologies
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and their application in manufacturing
  • Strong background in change management and organizational development
