Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across the Ann Arbor area seeking Finishing Supervisors who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Usual Responsibilities

• Enforce safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
• Resolve employee concerns and document performance issues.
• Supervise finishing line staff and assign daily work assignments.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing to meet output targets.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Train new employees on finishing equipment and safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance repairs.
• Track production metrics and report results to plant management.

Recommended Qualifications

• Ability to read work orders and production specifications.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years of experience in finishing or production operations.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of finishing processes such as coating, polishing, or deburring.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Forklift certification.
• Associate degree in manufacturing or a related field.
