Salary Range: $78,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing firms in the Escanaba area that seek skilled IATF Quality Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and look for professionals who can contribute effectively. Usual Responsibilities

• Support corrective and preventive action processes and verify effectiveness.
• Train production and inspection staff on quality procedures and standards.
• Work with suppliers on incoming quality issues and corrective actions.
• Maintain and update the quality management system to meet IATF 16949 requirements.
• Lead internal audits and coordinate external certification and customer audits.
• Investigate customer complaints and production nonconformances using root cause methods.
• Write and maintain control plans, PFMEAs, and inspection standards.
• Track quality metrics such as PPM, scrap, and first pass yield and report trends.

Recommended Qualifications

• Knowledge of core quality tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
• Experience leading internal audits and supporting customer or certification audits.
• Root cause analysis skills using 8D, 5 Why, and fishbone methods.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret dimensional requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross functional work.
• Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems in automotive manufacturing.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM or other measurement equipment programming.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Familiarity with customer specific requirements from automotive OEMs.
• Experience with Minitab or similar statistical analysis software.
• Certified IATF 16949 internal auditor.
