Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers while managing existing supplier relationships and performance.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements and mitigate risks.
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, and MRO items to support production schedules.
• Monitor market trends and commodity prices to anticipate supply risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to align purchasing activities with operational needs.
• Implement and enforce purchasing policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven negotiation and supplier relationship management skills with a track record of cost savings and quality improvement.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, inventory control, and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and contract law.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities for data-driven decision making and risk mitigation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Proficiency in a second language relevant to international supplier markets.
