Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic purchasing plans to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of materials.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors to secure best value.
• Manage and monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.
• Implement inventory management strategies to reduce carrying costs and prevent stockouts.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and supply chain efficiencies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and finance to align purchasing activities with business needs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and global supply chain dynamics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Proven experience in international sourcing and managing global supply chains.
• Advanced proficiency with specific ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle SCM) beyond basic transaction processing.
• Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for supply chain optimization.
