Quality Supervisor | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $68,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor quality inspection teams, ensuring adherence to established procedures and quality standards.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with quality control plans, manufacturing specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout production.
• Lead investigations into non-conformances, customer complaints, and process deviations, implementing effective root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA).
• Conduct regular internal audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems to identify areas for improvement and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Develop and deliver training programs for quality and production personnel on quality control techniques, new procedures, and quality awareness.
• Collect, analyze, and report on key quality metrics to identify trends, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support management reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and R&D to resolve quality issues and optimize product and process quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance/control within a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949), statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis tools.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and mentor quality personnel.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and using various inspection tools and methodologies.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Experience working in highly regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., medical device, automotive, aerospace)
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Certified Internal or Lead Auditor for relevant ISO standards
