Salary Range: $42,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products according to specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
  • Document inspection results accurately, generate quality reports, and maintain comprehensive quality records.
  • Identify and isolate non-conforming materials or products, initiate non-conformance reports, and support disposition processes.
  • Assist in the investigation of quality issues, participate in root cause analysis, and support corrective action implementation.
  • Conduct calibration checks on quality control equipment and maintain calibration records.
  • Support the development and revision of quality control plans, inspection procedures, and work instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical certification in quality or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and blueprint reading.
  • Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality problem-solving tools.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and accurate documentation practices.

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certification (e.g., CQT, CQIA) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience with CMM programming/operation or advanced vision systems.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab) for data analysis.
  • Internal Auditor experience for ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
