Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using a variety of metrology equipment.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot CMMs, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to determine measurement requirements.
- Document and report inspection results accurately, identifying non-conformances and potential issues.
- Develop and implement measurement programs for automated inspection systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement discrepancies and improve part quality.
- Ensure all measurement activities comply with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
- Expertise in interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measurement instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, height gauges).
- Knowledge of calibration principles and experience maintaining measurement equipment accuracy.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and related metrology standards.
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency in advanced CMM programming (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis for quality improvement
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for model comparison and fixture design
- Ability to perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance on metrology equipment
