Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Montague seeking Tooling Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and molds.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and modification of existing production tooling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues to minimize production downtime.
• Collaborate with production and design teams to optimize tooling for manufacturing processes.
• Manage external suppliers for tooling design, fabrication, and procurement.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling performance and lifespan.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all tooling specifications and maintenance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Solid experience in tooling design, development, and maintenance for manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as stamping, injection molding, or machining.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex tooling issues and implement effective solutions.
• Knowledge of tooling materials, heat treatments, and surface finishes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or mold/die flow simulation software
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Demonstrated experience in additive manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications
• Project management experience leading tooling development or optimization projects
