Salary Range: $44,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Rockford that are seeking Bookkeepers. Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
• Process payroll for all manufacturing employees, ensuring accurate tax withholdings and deductions.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries and classifying financial transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures and prepare basic financial statements.
• Track and reconcile inventory valuations for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Monitor fixed assets and manage associated depreciation schedules for manufacturing equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP B1) and ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and job costing.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with inventory costing and reconciliation in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Understanding of basic cost accounting principles specific to production.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
