Salary Range: $52,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Kalamazoo seeking Bookkeepers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices for raw materials, supplies, and services.
• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collection for manufactured goods.
• Process payroll for manufacturing employees, including timecard verification and deduction processing.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts monthly.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support the preparation of financial statements.
• Assist with inventory tracking, costing, and reconciliation related to production.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, specifically within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and familiarity with ERP systems common in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), and fixed asset management.
• Demonstrated competence in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and data entry.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with cost accounting principles and methodologies.
• Experience with inventory management and valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO).
• Proficiency with manufacturing-specific modules within ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Experience tracking fixed assets and managing depreciation schedules.
