Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mechanical designs for new and existing products, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings to industry standards.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to meet product specifications, cost, and production requirements.
• Perform design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities, analyzing results to refine designs.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, specifications, and bills of material (BOMs).

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
• Demonstrated experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Solid knowledge of material properties and selection for industrial applications.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and basic stress analysis to validate designs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with FEA/CFD software for design validation.
• Demonstrated understanding and application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, or assembly processes.
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) applications.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
