Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and products against specifications.
  • Verify received quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Document inspection results accurately in the quality management system.
  • Identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming materials, initiating appropriate actions.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) effectively.
  • Maintain and ensure the calibration status of inspection equipment.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and quality teams to resolve material discrepancies.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficient in using various precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with quality inspection processes and documentation of non-conformances.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and record keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Advanced GD&T comprehension or certification
  • Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other automated inspection equipment
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for material receiving and data entry
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles or 5S methodology
