Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and document manufacturing processes for new products.
• Collaborate with R&D on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Specify, procure, and validate new production equipment and tooling.
• Lead and support pilot production builds and first article inspections.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing work instructions, BOMs, and process documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement and yield optimization during the NPI phase.
• Facilitate the smooth transition of new products from NPI to mass production.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing).
• X+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing engineering within a production environment.
• Strong understanding and application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Proven experience in developing, optimizing, and validating manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex NPI projects from concept to mass production.
• Familiarity with quality methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, Lean Manufacturing) and root cause analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., robotics, automation, additive manufacturing).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Python, R) for process optimization.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Familiarity with specific PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems beyond basic user level.
