Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new products, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with design teams to implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Specify, procure, and validate new equipment, tooling, and fixtures required for NPI.
• Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and BOMs.
• Lead and support pilot production runs and prototypes, identifying and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Monitor and improve yield, quality, and cycle time during the NPI phase.
• Facilitate the smooth transition of new products and processes from NPI to mass production.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing).
• 3+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing engineering roles.
• Strong understanding and application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Proven ability to develop, optimize, and validate manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
• Experience managing NPI projects from concept to mass production, including timeline and risk management.
• Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing process documentation (e.g., FMEA, control plans, work instructions).

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Proficiency with advanced PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
• Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process optimization.
• Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping technologies (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).
• Familiarity with automation and robotics integration in manufacturing environments.
