Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify adherence to specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed quality reports.
  • Initiate and track non-conformance reports (NCRs) for defective materials or products.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed quality records and ensure compliance with quality management system (QMS) procedures.
  • Conduct first-article inspections (FAI) and participate in final product release processes.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing quality control.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and inspection methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency in CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation or programming.
  • Certification in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Previous experience with internal quality audits.
