Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop floor operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Manage and mentor a team of shop floor personnel, including supervisors, technicians, and operators.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
• Monitor production output, quality control, and identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Manage inventory of raw materials, components, and finished goods, optimizing stock levels.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering, planning, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain shop equipment and machinery, arranging for repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Develop and implement training programs for shop floor staff to enhance skills and knowledge.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to address operational challenges.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards relevant to manufacturing.
• Experience with inventory management and supply chain principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean manufacturing certification or demonstrable experience
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
• Experience with ERP/MRP system implementation or advanced usage
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior staff
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)
