Salary Range: $47,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using various techniques and equipment according to specifications.
• Inspect and test welds for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Set up and maintain welding equipment, including torches, power sources, and safety devices.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and fitting components.
• Troubleshoot welding process issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Document welding procedures, test results, and material certifications as required.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in welding technology or related field preferred.
• Certified welder (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3) with demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a certified welder in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
• Experience with welding inspection techniques and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and equipment.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Certified welding inspector (CWI) designation
• - Experience with robotic welding systems
• - Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles
• - Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and weld symbols
