Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize welding processes to ensure product quality and efficiency.
• Develop and implement welding procedures and specifications.
• Select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and techniques for specific applications.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects.
• Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve welding-related issues.
• Manage welding projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in welding process selection, development, and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, joint design, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
• Proficiency in relevant welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO).
• Experience with CAD software for weldment design and analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with robotic welding systems and automation
• - Proficiency in advanced NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods beyond basic visual inspection
• - Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
• - Certification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS)
