Salary Range: $54,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimize G-code programs for CNC lathes.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices for machining operations.
• Perform program simulations and verifications to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and prevent collisions.
• Create detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and operational instructions for machinists.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to troubleshoot and refine manufacturing processes.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies to reduce cycle times and enhance part quality.
• Maintain and update existing CNC programs and associated technical documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM) for generating CNC lathe programs.
• Strong ability to read, write, and edit G-code and M-code for CNC turning centers.
• Comprehensive understanding of CNC lathe operations, tooling, workholding, and material characteristics.
• Expertise in interpreting engineering blueprints, technical specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proven experience in optimizing machining processes, troubleshooting programs, and improving cycle times.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with multi-axis mill-turn programming.
• Proficiency in post-processor editing and development.
• Demonstrated experience in custom fixture design or tooling optimization.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
