Salary Range: $53,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs (G-code and M-code) for lathe operations using CAD/CAM software.
- Select appropriate tooling, inserts, and workholding fixtures based on material, part geometry, and machining requirements.
- Create detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and operational instructions for machine operators.
- Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure collision avoidance, optimize cycle times, and confirm part accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and debug existing CNC programs to resolve machining issues and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and adherence to design specifications.
- Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related documentation.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming for CNC lathes.
- Demonstrated experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Esprit) for generating toolpaths.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Solid understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, feeds, and speeds for various materials.
- Experience with CNC lathe setup, operation, and program troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of metrology tools and quality inspection processes.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with multi-axis turning or mill-turn programming
- Proficiency in a secondary CAM software (e.g., SolidCAM, Mastercam, Esprit)
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to design custom workholding or tooling solutions
