Salary Range: $80,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) conforms to IATF 16949 requirements and customer-specific requirements.
  • Lead and manage APQP activities, including FMEA, Control Plan development, and PPAP submissions.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions using problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D).
  • Conduct internal audits and support external IATF 16949 certification and customer audits.
  • Monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs), implement Statistical Process Control (SPC), and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage supplier quality, including supplier selection, audits, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Interface with customers regarding quality concerns, ensure effective communication, and drive customer satisfaction.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Deep understanding and practical application of IATF 16949 standard.
  • Proficiency in AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
  • Proven experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, A3, 5 Whys).
  • Certified IATF 16949 Internal Auditor with experience conducting internal audits.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • VDA 6.3 Process Auditor certification
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
  • Experience with CMM programming and advanced metrology techniques
