Salary Range: $86,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Lead problem-solving activities using methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa to address internal and external quality issues.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Control Plans, FMEAs, and Process Flow Diagrams for new and existing products/processes.
  • Conduct internal audits to IATF 16949 standards, identifying non-conformities and driving corrective actions.
  • Support APQP activities, including PPAP submission and approval for new product launches and engineering changes.
  • Monitor key quality metrics (e.g., scrap, rework, customer PPM) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and capability studies (CpK, PpK) to ensure process stability and capability.

Recommended Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 standard requirements.
  • Proficiency in core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
  • Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
  • Experience conducting internal and supplier audits to IATF 16949 standards.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
  • Proficiency in VDA standards, particularly VDA 6.3 process audits
  • Advanced proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
