Warehouse Manager | Plainwell, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
• Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and safety.
• Manage inventory control processes, conduct regular cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production, logistics, and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate material flow.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
• Optimize space utilization and layout within the warehouse to maximize storage capacity and workflow.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse management within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP) and lean manufacturing principles
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of warehouse personnel
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality control standards in a manufacturing setting

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS certification (CSCP or CLTD)
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies
• Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin)
• Project management experience, particularly with WMS implementations
