Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding procedures for various manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects.
• Specify and procure welding equipment, consumables, and tooling.
• Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and production staff.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and customer specifications for welding.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for welding processes and quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on welding processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in various welding techniques (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW) and their application.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, material properties, and their impact on weld quality and performance.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and welding symbols.
• AWS Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng) or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Educator (CWE) certification.
• Experience with robotic welding systems and programming.
• Familiarity with advanced NDT methods (e.g., phased array UT, digital radiography).
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixture design or process simulation.
