Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Coopersville that are seeking skilled Lean Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Design, implement, and optimize production layouts, material flow, and workstation designs.
- Develop and standardize work procedures, visual controls, and performance metrics.
- Train and mentor manufacturing teams on Lean principles and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and achieve operational goals.
- Monitor and report on the impact of Lean initiatives on key performance indicators (e.g., cost, quality, delivery).
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
- 3+ years experience implementing Lean methodologies (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen) in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools
- Experience with manufacturing process optimization and waste reduction
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred
Bonus Qualifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim)
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
