Maintenance Manager | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across the Lansing area seeking Maintenance Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Usual Responsibilities

• Track maintenance metrics such as uptime, response time, and repair costs.
• Coordinate outside contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
• Train technicians and support continuous improvement on the plant floor.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance for production equipment and facility systems.
• Assign work orders to maintenance technicians and follow up on completion.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs to limit downtime.
• Manage spare parts inventory and order supplies within budget.
• Enforce safety rules and lockout tagout procedures in the maintenance area.

Recommended Qualifications

• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safe work practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills under production pressure.
• Five or more years in industrial maintenance, including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing or total productive maintenance.
• PLC and controls troubleshooting experience.
• Formal training in predictive maintenance methods such as vibration analysis.
• Associate or bachelor degree in engineering or industrial technology.
• Certification in maintenance and reliability such as CMRP.
