Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Grandville that are seeking Tooling Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Conduct root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement corrective actions.
- Manage the maintenance, repair, and calibration of production tooling assets.
- Collaborate with production and design teams to improve tooling performance and manufacturability.
- Evaluate and specify appropriate tooling materials and manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive tooling documentation and specifications.
- Support new product introduction by ensuring tooling readiness and capability.
Recommended Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for tool design and analysis.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, machining, or casting.
- Expertise in material selection (metals, plastics, composites) and heat treatment relevant to tooling.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve tooling performance and quality issues.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Proficiency with ERP systems for tooling lifecycle management
- Direct experience managing external tooling suppliers and vendors
