Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to support manufacturing operations.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms for raw materials and components.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring reliability and adherence to contractual agreements.
• Optimize inventory levels for raw materials and MRO items to minimize holding costs while ensuring continuous production.
• Identify and implement cost reduction strategies and efficiency improvements within the procurement process.
• Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team to enhance departmental performance and capabilities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in negotiation, vendor relationship management, and strategic sourcing.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong analytical skills for cost optimization.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing a purchasing team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience with process improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience with international sourcing and global supply chain management.
• Proficiency with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and forecasting.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, CSCP).
