Quality Technician | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $44,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Delta Township that are seeking skilled Quality Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Conduct various tests using specialized equipment to ensure product specifications are met.
• Document inspection and test results accurately, maintaining comprehensive quality records and generating reports.
• Identify, document, and quarantine non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action processes.
• Verify and maintain calibration of inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE).
• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Adhere to and promote adherence to quality management system (QMS) procedures and work instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
• Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering blueprints and technical specifications.
• Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis software.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in interpreting complex Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with automated inspection equipment (e.g., CMMs, vision systems).
• Prior experience participating in internal or external quality audits.
