Industrial Electrician | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical systems, motors, and control panels.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical malfunctions in production machinery and equipment.
• Install, test, and commission new electrical wiring, conduits, and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Calibrate and maintain industrial control systems, including PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs.
• Conduct electrical inspections and safety checks on all plant equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
• Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems (e.g., motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, power distribution).
• Strong understanding and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E safety standards.
• Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for diagnostics, programming, and troubleshooting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Experience with industrial robotics maintenance and programming.
• Certification or experience with thermography/infrared analysis for electrical systems.
• Knowledge of VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) programming and optimization.
