Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Mattawan seeking Bookkeepers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable for raw materials, production supplies, and operational expenses.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing for manufactured products and collection activities.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, including production staff.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close procedures.
• Track manufacturing costs and assist with variance analysis for production.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
• Experience with cost accounting principles, inventory valuation (e.g., FIFO, LIFO), and work-in-progress (WIP) tracking in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills for bank accounts, vendor statements, and financial discrepancies.
• Ability to support month-end/year-end close processes and assist with basic financial reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Familiarity with cost accounting principles, such as job costing or standard costing.
• Prior experience with inventory management and reconciliation in a production environment.
• Proficiency in managing fixed assets, including depreciation for manufacturing equipment.
