Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Delta Township seeking Design Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products, components, and assemblies from concept to production.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for manufacturing.
• Conduct design analysis, calculations, and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Specify appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and finishes for optimal cost and functionality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards (DFM/DFA).
• Support the prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs, iterating based on results.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs, specifications, and test reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for 3D modeling, assembly design, and technical drawing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, casting) and their impact on design.
• Knowledge of material science, selection, and properties relevant to product design and manufacturing applications.
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations, stress analysis, and utilize simulation tools (e.g., FEA) to validate designs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of specific manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining, additive manufacturing).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Hands-on prototyping, assembly, and testing experience.
• Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software.
