The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs for all manufactured products and components.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis between actual and standard costs, investigating discrepancies.
• Manage inventory valuation, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Prepare comprehensive cost reports and analyses for management decision-making.
• Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes related to production costs.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and ensure accuracy of cost of goods sold.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, GAAP, and inventory valuation methods.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze cost data, identify variances, and provide actionable insights.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with SQL or advanced database querying.
