EHS Manager | Charlotte, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, permits, and company policies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular EHS risk assessments, inspections, and audits, driving corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
• Deliver comprehensive EHS training programs to all employees and contractors.
• Manage hazardous waste programs and ensure proper chemical handling and storage.
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans for the facility.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 3 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of OSHA, EPA, and relevant state/local EHS regulations.
• Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Professional EHS certification (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation
• Experience as an ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated application of continuous improvement methodologies to EHS processes
• Proficiency with advanced EHS management software platforms (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Cority)
