Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and debug CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programs from CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Interpret complex GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications for accurate program creation and data analysis.
• Execute CMM inspections, analyze measurement data, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Validate and verify CMM programs for accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with quality standards.
• Design and implement appropriate part fixturing and setup procedures for CMM measurements.
• Troubleshoot CMM program errors, measurement discrepancies, and machine-related issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize inspection processes and provide metrology support.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Solid knowledge of metrology principles and inspection techniques.
• Experience with CAD software for model-based programming and feature extraction.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience designing or specifying inspection fixtures.
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software and methodologies.
• Certification in specific CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., laser scanners, vision systems).
