Salary Range: $48,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Inspect welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to standards.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues to maintain production efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.
  • Assist in the selection and preparation of welding materials and consumables.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Certification from an accredited welding program (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
  • Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with welding equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with automated welding systems (e.g., robotic welding, seam welding)
  • - Proficiency in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods like visual inspection, PT, MT, or UT
  • - Knowledge of welding metallurgy and material science
  • - Certification in specific welding processes (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector - CWI)
  • - Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and their application to welding processes
