Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the transition of new products from R&D to full-scale manufacturing, ensuring manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Develop, optimize, and validate robust manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling for new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with design engineering teams to provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) feedback.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and control plans.
  • Monitor initial production runs, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement for yield, quality, and cycle time.
  • Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks associated with new product introductions.
  • Train production personnel on new product builds, processes, and equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing).
  • Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding and application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Expertise in relevant manufacturing processes, tooling development, and production line setup.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex product launches from pilot to mass production.
  • Familiarity with quality systems (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA) and lean manufacturing principles.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD)
  • Experience with advanced automation and robotics integration
  • Strong data analysis skills using tools like Python, R, or Minitab for SPC and yield optimization
