Salary Range: $67,000 - $99,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of tools and equipment.
• Manage and maintain the inventory of tools, dies, fixtures, and other manufacturing equipment, including proper storage, labeling, and tracking.
• Supervise, train, and mentor tool room technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all tool room equipment to minimize downtime and extend lifespan.
• Procure new tools, equipment, and materials as needed, managing vendor relationships and negotiating pricing.
• Develop and enforce tool room policies and procedures to ensure safety, efficiency, and accountability.
• Conduct regular inspections of tools and equipment for damage, wear, and calibration, initiating repairs or replacements as necessary.
• Collaborate with production and engineering departments to understand tooling needs and provide solutions for manufacturing challenges.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool room operations and management.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tool making, and material science.
• Excellent leadership and team supervision skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and control systems.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs for tooling and equipment.
