Test Engineer | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $70,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and procedures for manufactured products.
• Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing on new and existing products.
• Analyze test data, identify defects, and document findings for engineering teams.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance to resolve issues and improve product quality.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Develop automated test scripts and tools to increase efficiency and coverage.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on testability and manufacturability.
• Document test results and create reports for management and stakeholders.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test procedures for manufactured products.
• Familiarity with common manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, C++ for testing).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and analysis of test results.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with Six Sigma methodologies or Lean Manufacturing principles.
• - Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) software.
• - Knowledge of automated test equipment (ATE) programming.
• - Experience with root cause analysis techniques in a manufacturing environment.
• - Understanding of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
