Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against specifications.
• Verify accuracy of accompanying documentation, such as Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and material certifications.
• Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials according to established procedures.
• Utilize and maintain various inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Record inspection data accurately in quality management systems or designated logs.
• Initiate and support Material Review Board (MRB) processes for rejected materials.
• Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues related to incoming materials.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Familiarity with AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) sampling plans and basic quality standards.
• Experience accurately documenting inspection results and identifying non-conforming materials.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and utilizing quality management software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Familiarity with ERP or MES systems for quality data management.
• Basic understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or 8D problem-solving methodology.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management system principles.
