Inspection Technician | Zeeland, MI

Salary Range: $44,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
• Accurately document inspection findings, including pass/fail status and measurements, in quality records or databases.
• Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming materials or products according to established procedures.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and quality control plans.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
• Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles, manufacturing processes, and relevant industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills for defect identification.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality inspection or technician role.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification
• Experience with advanced metrology software (e.g., CMM programming, SPC analysis tools)
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) application and interpretation
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
