Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precise calibrations on a wide range of measurement and test equipment according to established procedures and standards.
  • Document calibration results accurately and maintain comprehensive calibration records in a database or system.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair malfunctioning instrumentation and test equipment.
  • Develop and maintain calibration schedules to ensure all manufacturing equipment is calibrated within specified intervals.
  • Interpret and apply technical specifications, schematics, and manufacturer's manuals for calibration and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 17025, GMP) and internal quality management systems.
  • Select and utilize appropriate test equipment and calibration standards to achieve required measurement uncertainty.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in electronics, metrology, instrumentation, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience performing calibration and repair of test and measurement equipment, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of metrology principles, measurement uncertainty, and relevant quality standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.1).
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a wide range of calibration standards and test equipment (electrical, mechanical, dimensional, temperature, pressure).
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with calibration management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and strong documentation practices.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced calibration software platforms or automation.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on test equipment.
  • Knowledge of uncertainty analysis and advanced metrology principles.
