Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist | Cadillac, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices, matching purchase orders and receiving reports for raw materials and finished goods.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices, ensuring accurate pricing and terms for manufacturing sales.
• Apply customer payments to open invoices, reconciling daily cash receipts.
• Conduct collections activities for overdue accounts receivable balances.
• Prepare and process weekly vendor payment runs, including EFTs and checks.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures, including AP/AR accruals and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer master data in the ERP system.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including general ledger coding and account reconciliation.
• Proven ability to perform 3-way matching for purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365) in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with inventory accounting principles or cost accounting basics
• Experience with multi-currency transactions or international vendors/customers
• Proficiency in using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for invoicing or payments
