Salary Range: $52,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment, including wire and sinker EDM.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine job specifications.
- Load and unload workpieces and electrodes, ensuring proper alignment and secure fixturing.
- Monitor EDM process parameters, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of EDM machines and work areas.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or process deviations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience operating and setting up Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment (Wire, Sinker, or both).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and ability to perform in-process and final inspections.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for EDM machine malfunctions and ability to perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Adherence to safety protocols and a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for EDM programming or simulation.
- Experience with advanced metrology equipment such as CMMs or optical comparators.
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills for machine maintenance.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with machining exotic materials like Inconel, Titanium, or Carbide.
