Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior technicians with the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of custom automation systems at client locations.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of mechanical and electrical components.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and pneumatic diagrams.
- Support the calibration and adjustment of sensors, actuators, and other machine components.
- Document service activities, including work performed, parts used, and issues encountered.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the service vehicle and at client sites.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing updates on service progress.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.
Recommended Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Vocational training or an Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (potentially overnight and nationally) to client sites.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Exposure to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) or Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
